Your prayer data lives on your device and optionally syncs via your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information. We have no servers that receive your data.
1 Overview
Yalla Pray! is a personal prayer tracking app built to help you stay consistent with your 5 daily Islamic prayers. We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping this policy simple and honest.
2 Data We Collect
Prayer Records
Which prayers you marked as completed, skipped, or incomplete, and on which dates. Stored locally on your device.
Profile Settings
Your date of birth and praying age — used to calculate your prayer history. Never transmitted to us.
Location (Approximate)
Used solely to calculate your local prayer times. Never stored, logged, or transmitted beyond your device.
Export & Import
You can export your prayer data as a CSV file to your device or cloud storage of your choice. Imported files are processed entirely on-device. No data is transmitted to us.
We do not collect: your name, email, phone number, analytics data, or any identifying information. We have no backend servers that receive your data.
3 iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled, Yalla Pray! uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your prayer data across your personal Apple devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot access this data.
4 Location Permission
Yalla Pray! requests location access to calculate accurate prayer times for your area, done entirely on-device using the Adhan library. Location is only accessed when you open the Prayers tab, is never stored or sent anywhere, and you may deny it — prayer times simply won't be displayed.
5 Data Deletion
All prayer data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. To delete all data, delete the app. To remove iCloud data, do so from your iCloud settings.
6 Children's Privacy
Yalla Pray! is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
7 Policy Updates
If we update this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
